How Disclosure Regulations, Cross-Border Transactions, Media, and Digital Impact IR?
During our panel discussion about “IR Trends and Challenges” moderated by Mr. Marcus Sultzer, Asia Pacific CEO of EQS Group, we sat with five panelists from varying professions to provide different perspectives. Mr. Zhanghuan of Shenzhen Zhitong Financial started with the hot topic of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, and stressing that more proactive and transparent communication will be necessary to attract cross-border investors. Mr. Shawn Jiang, a legal firm partner, shared his expertise in the distinction of insider and non-insider information with a real case study. This topic is further backed up by Mr. Matthias Erler, Director of Media Network and Partnerships at EQS Group, illustrating the recent Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) implemented in Europe and how German listed companies are coping with tighter regulations to disclosure insider information.

While the IR community is paying close attention to compliance rules, many professionals have started using innovative digital tools to foster speedy and real-time communication. Leju Holding’s Ms. Annie Huang shared her valuable experience using H5 mobile reporting to convey result announcements, not only in the U.S. but also throughout China. Then Ms. Angela Weng, being part of a popular media broadcaster, introduced the latest online ways to quickly build up a community of followers and facilitate targeted broadcasting. Indeed we are very excited about the many developments within the Mainland China market, and we look forward to seeing more solutions catered for these growing areas.
